Frequently Asked Questions

QUESTION: What is a Professional Organizer?

A Professional Organizer provides information, products and assistance to help individuals and businesses achieve their specific organizing needs. Professional Organizers guide, encourage and educate you on how to overcome organizing challenges by offering support, focus and direction. We help you create functional and organized spaces, and teach you how you can keep them that way.

QUESTION: What does disorganization cost us?

Disorganization costs us in a variety of ways.

  • TIME: The extra time it takes to find things in a disorganized environment, such as keys, tools, bills, paperwork, phones and glasses. This wasted time can add up to hours in a day.

  • MONEY: The costs of buying duplicate items because you forgot you already had them or can't find them. Or, by losing gift cards, missing deadlines or good opportunities. And -the biggest one - a lower purchase price on your home because buyers couldn't see past the clutter and imagine themselves in your home. Cluttered homes can appear dirty, and in disrepair, even though they aren't.

  • MENTAL ENERGY: The extra attention your brain requires uses to constantly remember all the things you are responsible for, but haven't completed. This is the mental work you expend as you walk past your pile of unopened mail, yet again.

  • EMOTIONAL WELL BEING: The cost felt by the pressure of disorganization. Disorganization weighs heavily on us and has a negative impact on our emotional well being.

QUESTION: Who uses Professional Organizing Services?

People of all ages benefit from the help of a professional organizer, such as:

  • People who are downsizing or simply moving to another home

  • People who are expecting a new child

  • People going through a divorce or separation

  • People dealing with the death of a loved one

  • People who are experiencing an illness, disability or health crisis

  • People who are overwhelmed and/or stressed by the demands of balancing work, home and family life

  • People who simply need help to organize their spaces so that they can stop focusing on the clutter, and focus on a healthier, happier and less stressful life

QUESTION: Do I need to be present during the process?

You must participate in the decluttering process, since we do not eliminate anything without your consent. After the decluttering process we can work independently, but may need to get ahold of you should there be any questions.
